How to Use Accessories to Create Conversations
One of my Betsey Johnson corset purses I use when I go out and want to meet people.
“Peacocking” was a term I learned in my days where I religiously followed the men’s pickup artistry industry. Except I’m still a woman. There are some tips though where it doesn’t matter if you’re a man or a woman, it still applies. Peacocking is one of them. I like to use somewhat ridiculous kitsch purses not only because I like the style and it shows a sense of playfulness and humour, but because it stands out from what everyone else is wearing and will get you more attention and get you noticed. Hence the term “peacocking”.
And it honestly works! Have a networking event and can’t think of what to say to people you don’t know? Just carry any Betsey Johnson purse and I can almost guarantee people will come up to and start talking without you having to do anything. And no, Betsey Johnson did not sponsor this article thought I think they should sponsor my website as I am a HUGE fan of her products.
